This is my story...

I know the despair and stress that comes from being unhappy with the way you eat, your body and wanting desperately to have a normal relationship with food.

For almost 30 years I struggled with binge eating, overeating, mindless eating. I hated my body and myself for years of yo-yo dieting, losing and gaining weight every year.

This was the one area of my life, I just couldn’t work out. There had to be another way other than dieting to stop the food noise in my head, heal my relationship with food and accept my body.

I understand what it feels like to believe:

  • I don’t have willpower and discipline
  • I have no control over food
  • I hate my body
  • I just love food too much
  • I will always binge eat
  • I can’t imagine a peaceful relationship with food

I went on every diet imaginable, took pills, appetite suppressants and injections. I spent a fortune on programmes, doctors and dieticians. I cut out carbs, ate fat-free food and even lived on pineapple for 2 weeks in winter!

I managed to get 3 degrees and learn to speak 5 languages – why couldn’t I figure this out? Eating isn’t rocket science! This was the one area of my life, I just couldn’t work out and the source of my greatest pain. I reached a point where I just could not do it anymore – there had to be another way stop all the food noise in my head!

There is – and it works.

I hired a coach, embarked on a journey within exploring my relationship with food and in the process, discovered something a whole lot more valuable than weight loss. I never would have thought that my biggest problem would turn out to be my biggest gift! I gained so much from the process that I decided to quit a successful career in tourism and become a coach to help other people gain peace and freedom from obsessing about food and their bodies.
